My Life with Synthesizers

Having bought my first synthesizer in the middle of the seventies my experience with electronic sound-creation goes back 50 years now.

It started with a band called "Confusius" in Dusseldorf (Germany) in 1977 and lasted for  7 years.

With the introduction of MIDI-sequencers in the eighties I decided to do solo-pro-jects. It ended up in another band called "Digitalis" at the end of the nineties.

Apart from a few completely digitally controlled live-acts we released 3 CDs.

The most special thing about the live-

performances was a MIDI-stage-lightning

controller running synchronous to the music with circuitry that I had developed only for that purpose. The cast for the last CD was special, because the band was never on the same spot at the same time.

Our singer lived in the U.S. and we´ve never seen him personally.

After the last release in 2002 I kept experimenting for a long time and I was more busy with video-production, acoustics and graphics than music.

After having moved to Spain in 2018 I started writing new songs.

My first project was producing  film-scores.

I completed an album of 20 tracks called

"Wide Spaces". A year later I finished

"No particular Direction".

Finally I made "The Art of playing Nothing".

This one is released.

In contrary to the previous releases I broke out of the cage of sticking to rock-

music. I felt free to write songs of any style without the need for commercial success. It´s plain synthesizer-generated

music integrating artificial intelligence to

a certain amount.
